Beagletodn Studio is situated in Cornwall's West Penwith in the hamlet of Towednack. West Penwith is the south western peninsula of England leading to Lands End . It is surrounded by sea with the stunning Isles of Scilly 30 miles off shore. The Studio is 2 miles from Zennor (an area of outstanding natural beauty), 3 miles from St Ives and 6 miles from Penzance.
Once a sculptor’s studio, the accommodation has been converted with imagination. It is attached to the owner’s house, with its own spacious, sheltered and enclosed garden (fuschias, lawn, rocks, garden furniture). Situated in downland, it is in a shallow valley, 5 minutes from a field walk to Towednack's 11th century church.
Immediately behind the house and studio there is a 20 minute walk up heathland ( bracken, buzzards, gorse, granite) to Zennor Quoit (a prehistoric site) with superb views over the village of Zennor and across the Atlantic Ocean. On a clear day you can see across to Lizard Point.
Zennor village is much visited with its pub the Tinners Arms, its church with medieval mermaid carving and stunning walks to the headland and coastpath beyond. You can walk from here to St Ives along the coastal path.
You arrive at the Studio up a long lane; in spring and early summer there is a profusion of wild flowers. The accommodation is accessed by 8 old granite steps (hand rail) and lies behind the owner’s house with its own gate, providing complete privacy.
Inside, the Studio is open plan and beautifully
light with roof level picture windows; plants,
pictures. There is a comfortable living/dining
area and an excellent fitted kitchen; big bathroom
(shower/bath and washing machine).
