Beautiful listed building between Land's End and St. Ives in the far west of Cornwall. Sleeps up to 3 in 2 bedrooms.
The cottage was recorded and mapped by local historian Borlase in 1760
as "Ruins in Bojewyan town!" It is now a quaint and comfortable cottage - a perfect retreat for a wonderful holiday in this area of truly outstanding natural beauty.
The cottage often benefits from glorious sunsets over the sea. Behind
the
cottage is a lane onto the moorland of Woon Gumpus Common where
National Trust
paths will lead you to Chun Quoit and the ruins of Chun Castle, from
which
you can see across to both coasts.
Just across the fields and down the cliffs is beautiful Portheras Cove, a peaceful and secluded beach. Portheras can be reached either by walking down from the house or driving part-way. There are also pretty coves near Pendeen Lighthouse.
