Perched on a hilltop just outside the pretty fishing village of Mousehole, and with breathtaking sea views, Carn Du is one of the most romantic houses in Cornwall.

The cottage which sleeps 4 can be rented with the main house or separately. It has a large open-plan sitting room/dining room/kitchen, with a wood-burning stove. Upstairs there is a bathroom and two double bedrooms (one with a balcony). All rooms look over the sea.

There are wonderful beaches and coves close by and excellent restaurants in Mousehole – which Dylan Thomas called “the loveliest village in England” – and Penzance.

A boat is available by arrangement if you want to explore the coast or, perhaps, roam further afield to the Scilly Isles.
